Recessed-can to pendant-light conversion

Instant Pendant Light converts recessed light fixtures into pendant lights

• Manufactured by Worth Home Products

• Cost: About $50

A lot of new products come across my desk each week, but the most fun are the real forehead-slappers that make me think “Why didn’t I come up with that?” The Instant Pendant Light falls firmly into that category.

Simply put, this kit makes converting a recessed light fixture into a pendant light as easy as changing a bulb. Unscrew the old lightbulb from the recessed can, screw in the pendant-light socket adapter (which also acts as a coil so that you can adjust the length of the light cord), slide on the cover plate, and flip the switch.
