How can I get a home-energy audit?

Q: I keep reading about blower-door tests and energy audits in your magazine. Can I rent a blower door? If not, how do I find someone to perform the test for me?

But you can find someone to come to your house, perform the test for you, and give you an analysis of your home’s leakiness or a full-scale energy audit. Contact your local power company, or go to www.natresnet.org or www.energystar.gov to find local Energy Star builders and weatherization contractors.
