When I have a considerable amount of copper-pipe sweating to do, I insert a wire brush that corresponds to the inside diameter of the pipe fittings. I can clean them up with this setup a lot faster than using emery paper. Be sure to wear eye protection during this procedure.

This is a tip? This is very basic stuff. Now if you chucked your wire brush into a drill - THAT would be a tip...
Agree with Albany_Chris. I suspect that the OP knew exactly what he was suggesting but failed to be more explicit.
