Assistant editor Rob Yagid spotted a product called Battens Plus: “This is a corrugated plastic batten that’s used in place of solid wood on top of roof sheathing. The beauty is that if any water somehow gets between your roofing material and your sheathing, it can drain away, rather than collect on top of the battens.”
