Making a Story Stick

A story stick can save time and minimize mistakes during cabinet construction

Kitchen cabinets have multiple pieces that must fit together like a jigsaw puzzle.  Marietta, Georgia, cabinetmaker Sven Hanson suggests making a story stick to keep all of the measurements accurate when transferring them from the installation site to the layout and fabrication shop.

In this video he demonstrates his technique for making and using a detailed story stick.
