There's a Better Way: Plywood Sheet-Metal Brake

Give your brake a break with this improvised custom-flashing device

This tip, courtesy of David Kalin of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and demonstrated by Chuck Miller, is a simple method for bending steel, copper, or aluminum flashing on site. As Chuck points out, the flashing can run as long as you've got friends to hold it, but David's improvised brake works if you're working on your own as well.
