"The next time you’ve got to pick up a bunch of ferrous metal fasteners, washers or whatever, do this. Put a magnet of suitable strength in a plastic bag. Drag the bag/magnet (bagnet?) through the nails. When you’ve got bunch of nails sticking to the magnet, turn the bag inside out, and remove the magnet. The nails are trapped inside the bag."
