This colorful and tiny carpenter gothic cottage is found in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Squeezed in amidst dozens of other similar cottages, it is part of what was once known as the Methodist Campground. In the 1800’s Methodists from around New England would come to the area to encamp in tents and enjoy summer as well as spiritual refreshment in camp meetings. Large groups came each summer and eventually the tents began to be replaced with these beautiful and colorful cottages which stand very close to each other and create a village within the village of Oak Bluffs. They are brightly colored, interestingly detailed and definitely worth a visit!
