I had a corner of my yard that was not being used so I thought I’d put in a firepit. Most of it was designed on the fly. I had no prior experience with masonry and I’m sure some of the pro’s out there could find mistakes, but I think it turned out fine and after many fires and two years everything is still solid. It’s been a lot of fun.

where do you get the man hole rings?? Arlene in Pittsburgh
The man hole rings were purchased at a Industrial Concrete place that makes all the stuff for roads, underground catch basins, and misc. items for commercial use. There is probably such a place in your area -- go talk to a hardscape/rock/cement business and they could tell you where to go. By the way, they are heavy! I have one left over that I will never get back into my truck...come on out from Pittsburg and you can have it :)
