Patio Structure
comments (0) May 31st, 2010 in Project GalleryTired of putting up temporary shelters for my kids' birthday parties in the event of rain, I came up with a design that would add to the outdoor living space of my home: A patio structure with arched cedar strip ceiling complete with ambient lighting in the crown molding, soffit pot lights and a drip irrigation system for hanging pots at each of the four columns. Originally the plans included a continuous ring beam(Issue #145 Feb/Mar 02, p.86) however steel column caps were ultimately used. Another issue of FHB was helpful in determining the scaling of the columns.
Design or Plan used: My own design
