Learning to be in the right place at the right time is one of the most important skills an architectural photographer must develop. While shooting in the middle of the day may not be right for some images, there really is no such thing as a bad time of day to shoot, if you are paying attention. In this case the sun at noontime made very interesting shadows across the sidewalk leading up to this lovely house on Martha’s Vineyard, designed by Hutker Architects. The unusual fence and smooth stones surrounding the herb garden to the left add visual interest and make a dynamic design statement. Landscape architecture by Horiuchi & Solien.
