Storage Shed

Originally conceived as a storage shed for lawn equipment, this backyard building has become a place to store an endless pile of construction debris and tools from the many projects that I start and almost finish.

The main body of the shed measures 16'x20' and is constructed of a concrete slab on grade, 2x4 walls sheathed with 7/16 OSB, and fiber-cement siding.  A loft space above offers additional storage.  A large window on the east wall provides natural light for a potting workstation.  The doors and windows are crafted to reflect design elements found in the main house and my wife's barn.  Finish materials and detailing are consistent with the other structures.  A 12'x24' shed roof extension wraps around the rear and side to provide cover for tractors and yard tools.
