Even after narrowing down the list of available 7 1/4-in. sidewinders currently on the market, we still ended up with 14 tools to test.

We had to make a decision:

Option 1 - Pack all 14 saws into the print version of the article, knowing full well that each review would have to be cut down dramatically in length and detail.

Option 2 - Include only the 7 best saws in the print version of the article, but include all 14 reviews in our ever-growing Tool Guide.

We chose Option 2. The Tool Guide now has 14 new entries for you peruse, and we're looking for feedback from you.

Used/Own one of these tools? Add your own review!

Oh well I should have replaced my old saw earlier.

My Festool TS5 earned its keep while building my house. It made cutting subfloor pieces simpler and quicker - no measuring in many cases. It made trimming the T&G roof decking simpler, safer and faster. It quickly and safely cut formica to rough size.
All with no mess.
