Good response by dermatologist in Q&A of Feb/March 2012 issue as to question of painful skin cracks.  But she omitted the best, easiest, quickest tip:  a drop of Super-Glue on the crack takes pain away instantly, and allows crack to heal over a few days time. When the super-glue wears off the crack is gone. Don't worry, Super-glue was invented for medics to use in the field in VietNam, it's okay to put a drop or two on your finger! Just be very careful to allow it to fully dry before touching anything . . .
