Porter-Cable Recalls Routerscomments (0) July 9th, 2014 in Blogs
Porter-Cable is recalling more than 100,000 3 1/4 hp, fixed-based routers because the metal handles can conceivably shock users. The recall affects routers made between 1990 and April 2014. The following models are affected:
|7519EC||1-speed with extended chuck|
Porter-Cable is telling users not to use the tool and to contact them for a replacement base with insulated handles. You can reach Porter-Cable toll-free at (888) 344-7973 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern time) Monday through Friday. You can also email them at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find more information at www.portercable.com. Click on Important Safety Notice/Recalls, and then select 2014 from the list of years.
