Hutker Architects of Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod have developed a reputation for designing great houses and for their innovative and beautiful outdoor showers. But according to Phil Regan, a principal at the firm, this one may have been their first “commissioned” one. The homeowners requested that he design something with a little privacy, but very open and “out there”. Inspired by a Native American dream catcher, this shower has a circular form with floor geometry of mahogany and beach cobble. Being in the shower is almost like being out in the open, but not quite.
