Instructions for Using the Gallery (beta)

Intro: The gallery landing page (http://finehomebuilding.taunton.com/gallery) has member uploaded projects on the left, and a short set of instructions in the top right.

If you need more help, click the above photo thumbnails for more information.

Step 1: If you already have a membername from our Breaktime forum or other Taunton Press account, just login using your email and password.

Otherwise click the red Create My Account button.

Note: If you already have an account, skip Step 2.

Step 2: Create an Account. Add your infomation to this form, and click the red button.

The account is free and we will not ask for any credit card information.

Step 3: Create your Profile.

You can let others know more about you and link to your own website from this page.

You can also choose one of our photos, or upload your own.

If you want to skip this step and return later, remember this URL:

Step 4: Your profile page aggregates your profile, your posts, and recent comments on your posts.

If you forget how to get here, use this link:

You can also see other member profiles by clicking on their membername.

Step 5: To create a post, click Post Your Project from the main Gallery page, or Write New Post from your profile page.

Either option will create a form that is easy to fill out. When you are finished, click either Preview and Publish, or Save as a Draft.

Step 6: If you clicked Preview and Publish and are happy with your post, click Continue. Otherwise, click Make Changes.

Step 7: Once you have approved your post, a confirmation screen appears and gives you a few options, including viewing and sharing your work.

RDA writes: Hello, Piffin, look above and to the left of the heading "Project Gallery (beta)." There are eight thumbnails (stacked on top of one another) that take you through step by step. Stay with it; I can't wait to see your projects!
