On the tip about spray painting doors, I would add the caveat of painting all six sides of the door, especially the top and bottom edge. That’s where moisture enters, destroys the glue joints and starts dry rot. Also, on exterior doors, remove the molding, if any, and caulk it before reinstalling it. I learned this from working on boats. Any pocket where moisture collects will lead to dry rot.
