Cedar Wood Shed
comments (3) February 6th, 2009 in Project GalleryI've been dreaming about a cedar shed to store my firewood for the Winter and finally got around to building one last year. I'm a woodworker, not a carpenter, so working in such a large scale was challenging, but fun.
I didn't use any plans to build this woodshed. I browsed a few books and articles on FineHomebuilding.com, sketched some crude drawings on a piece of paper and then started building. First I built a platform from 2x6s and some recycled pressure-treated picnic table tops, then I built the walls to fit based on the materials I had on hand, and finally framed the roof.
The roof and walls are cedar to match the fence in the background.
