Sarasota Bathroom - From Blah to Spa

This bathroom in Sarasota, Florida was ready for an update.
I designed the cabinets and included an open area to the right hand side for rolled up towels to be stored.
The framed photo is hinged, so now it is the door for a medicine cabiinet.  I also re-used the existing vanity mirror, and added stock trim to frame it.
Everything was removed, but the layout remained the same so as not to complicate re-plumbing.  Discoveries during renovations - no connection between the outside duct and the exhaust fan, half the exterior wall didnt have sheathing and no vapor barrier even by the tub.
I built out a shelf at the head of the tub.  Re-tiled with white subway tile.  Installed beadboard and trim.

Revamping a dated bathroom.  The walls are painted in Soft Jazz by Benjamin Moore.  Vanity top and floors are Carrera marble.  The bath tiles are handmade, giving additional texture to walls.  Custom milled baseboard, beadboard wainscoting, chairrail and crown molding compliment this luxurious atmosphere.
