Cluttered and misused breakfast nook.

Winner of the Griffin Award for residential rehabilitation in Asheville, NC, this home went from "in the rough" to "high-end, green restoration".  As part of a whole house restoration, the kitchen got a major facelift.  Here are some of the key improvements:

  • Space was increased significantly with Concrete Countertops and Maple Cabinets
  • Original floor was revealed and refinished
  • Upgraded to Stainless Steel, Energy Star appliances
  • Restored plaster walls and ceiling
  • Period style lighting and fixtures throughout
  • The breakfast nook was returned to it's original character with custom built-ins

This home was also featured in WNC Magazine Mar/Apr '09 for it's "green" featrues and overall restoration (http://www.wncmagazine.com/feature/wnc_home/green_revival).
