Casa Verde
comments (2) April 20th, 2009 in Project GalleryOjai, California - this high desert climate in a mountain valley 10 miles from the Pacific, demanded a design to keep it COOL! Building on a slab (radiant heat for the cold winter) with a large sheltering shed roof, creates lots of shade and encourages air flow through the house. Passive and active solar designs were used as well as high efficincy LED lighting, cool roof technology and green materials.

Where did you get the LED lights? I'd like to install them for all the new lighting we put in, but having trouble finding them.
Thanks!

You've piqued my interest on this one. I've got to get a better look at the deck, though! Also, for curiosity's sake, I'm hoping you'll elaborate on the "cool roof technology" part. I imagine its got something to do with the organized chaos happening down in the submarine control room (which, I don't mind telling you I'm afraid of).
Thanks for sharing your work!
