All Decked Out
comments (0) May 12th, 2009 in Project GalleryAll Decked Out
This maintenance free deck incorporates a number of unique materials and features. The basic deck uses treated lumber for the structure and Trex for the decking material. The 4x4 posts are encased with vinyl sleeves and the posts are connected with 2x2’s encased with vinyl gutter material, with the hand rail topped with Trex. The railing is made of copper pipe that has been oxidized to a weathered black finish. The posts caps are inverted glass jars enclosing low voltage lamps and topped with Trex and vinyl post caps. The outside of the treated wood deck structure is faced with fiber cement siding and the entire deck is enclosed with decorative concrete and retaining wall blocks.
