This view allows you to see the many challenges we faced! all the lower rooflines are curved and hand framed (porch roof and eyebrow to the left of the front entry.) This curve flows around and across the entire back of the house.
This is a front view of the tower. The porch roof is curved on both sides of the arch which may be hard to see.
This photo is the view looking out the tower from the master bedroom. The bell shaped roof was mostly hand framed. There was only 1 girder! Also note the circular soffit.

I am a foreman for a framing subcontractor and this is a home my crew and I framed that was on display in a Luxury home tour. The roof was the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding aspect of the project  As a carpenter, I am humbled and excited when the opportunity to frame a project like this comes along. I really have a deep passion for quality craftsmanship, and I am truly honored when our hard work is recognized and appreciated.
