I'm not sure if this is the right term, but the details look like battlements on top of a castle wall. On a large house like this, that might be the effect that they were looking for.

I don't think that the netting looks too bad. I wonder if using fence staples would have been the way to fasten the netting to the rails, posts and deck, instead of the boat cleats and rope.

John-I'd like to think that the fish in the creek were smarter than the guys moving the house and swam out of the way of the bridge.

Re: Taking the pain out of homebuilding

I've been on some larger commercial construction jobs where this was required twice a day. The jobs were at health care facilities, and nobody really seemed to mind the doing the stretching exercises.
