Re: Are Replacement Windows a Waste of Money?
Restoration is the best way to go with architecturally significant homes, but in a house that is an investment property other issues necessitate going with replacement windows. Landlords are frequently sued because of lead paint which comes primarily form the opening and closing of windows that have been previously painted or varnished with products that contain lead. Abatement frequently outweighs the cost of replacement.
