I first started working with wood while framing homes. Then it was off to basic trim work and then advanced trim work. I have learned much from others and have tought myself many things. I do know this about woodworking, you will never learn it all. I have spent about 5 years on the advanced trim work, including all types of interior handrail work. Stain grade or paint grade work, I can do both. I have much to learn about more advanced carpentry but I feel that I am at a steady pace.

Re: Loft Ladder/Stair

Very Cool! I love the idea and design.

Re: New Stair Railing

All the hardware is from L.J. Smith. Loews carries some of their products. When bolting together parts, they will not match up perfectly. There will be some carving and sanding involved. You will need a specialty tool from L.J. Smith to tighten the bolt. And of course, use plenty of glue. If the glue oozes out from the connection, that is a good sign, just take a wet rag to wipe away the excess. My glue of choice is Tightbond 2. Instructions are on the package of all L.J. Smith bolts. I hope this was informative.

Re: Bookcase - Entertainment Center

Good design, I like how the flutes are custom made. Nice use of the glass shelving to let some light in. Thumbs Up!

Re: Built- in Entertainment Cabinet
