after many years of using a 22oz steel hammer I was starting to develop multiple problems in my wrist, arm and shoulder that would leave me in constant pain. After working with a guy who had one I bought a 14oz wooden hatchet handled stilletto hammer,without that silly waffle face that makes a mess of everything from your thumb to the material you are nailing. Right away my arm started to improve until there was no pain at all and none of the conditions have returned in the 8 years since. It is money well invested if you wish to have full use of your hammering arm later in life.
