I feel it is worth noting that Makita is a Japanese tool manufacturer, while TTI is a Hong Kong company. I would not be expecting Japanese build quality or engineering to come from TTI or it's affiliates. That said, the TTI brands (Ryobi, Milwaukee, Rigid/OEM) return allot of value for money.
So all the talk of how you like rigid and or Milwaukee is kind of funny. the same south korean company that owns Milwaukee tools is OEM manufacturer for rigid tools. BTW they also own the Ryobi brand. So I would not be expecting allot of differences in the guys of these brands.
