Re: Titanium hammers up for grabs. Want one?

I've borrowed several titanium hammers from friends while working on Habitat homes in the Gulf states. Great hammers! I wanted one immediately but the price is too high for me. Durability is an issue that no one has mentioned. My impression is that titanium hammers are not as rugged as other hammers. When it breaks, you're out $200. No warranty if the head or shaft breaks. Damage a couple of hammers and that Paslode starts looking a lot cheaper.
