Craftsman Room Addition phase 6
The roof took a couple days, and went on just in time – it rained all the following weekend.
Not my design – I am the general contractor.
Rainy weather coming - time to get a roof on it! wood batts are stapled down, and cement tiles hook over them, and get one nail per tile into the sheathing. Check out that scissor-lift truck bed delivering the tiles - is that cool or what?
Don't look down! Boy, that sure beats lugging 'em up a ladder.
Its official - we have a roof!
Fermin takes care of an important flashing detail. I left the roof starterboard sheathing unnailed here, so he could lift it and take care of the flashing before nailing it down, restricting access.
Fermin gives the directions on where and how he wants the concrete tile shingles spread.
