Miter saw multi-cut jig
Here is a quick jig that I used on my dads miter saw. I needed to cut some one by twos to 24 inches. Since the saw was just on saw horses and I wanted to make sure all the parts were equal. My dad had a bucket full of hardware store yardsticks and some carpet tape. I put carpet tape on one end of the yardstick and on a piece of scrap that I used for a stop taped at the other end. Once mounted so the end was at the edge of cut off slot, I cut all my parts and they all came out the same length. No more mark and cut and hope they are the same length.
