As he makes plans for an addition to his Connecticut house, RickGreg has been told by the local building department he must install a fan in the insulated, unvented crawlspace. Does this mysterious edict make any sense?
I laughed when an architect recommended we try Fastfoot, a reinforced sheet-plastic footing form that is unrolled and installed in a light framework. When I stopped to consider that I routinely pour concrete into forms made of foam, Fastfoot no longer seemed so silly.
