Blum’s CLIP-top Blumotion cabinet-door hinges take soft-close technology to the next level by integrating it right into the cup of the hinge. The compact design, which provides tool-free installation and three-dimensional adjustment, can be used for fulland partial-overlay doors as well as inset doors. Hinges open to either 110° or 95°, and work with door thicknesses of up to 1-in. or 13⁄16-in., respectively. One clever feature is the ability to deactivate the soft-close mechanism on either hinge, which adjusts the closing rate for small or light cabinet doors. Hinges start at about $6.50 each.
