I've had a barrel-grip model of this jigsaw for about 25 years, and it's as dependable as it was when I first got it. The barrel-grip is a little hard to hold, not as easy as the top handle, but it's easier to fit it into tight spots for remodeling cabinets, etc.

I bought the cheaper Bosch in the Home Despot, and brought it back. I thought it was junk. I looked at all they had + some of these in other stores, and bought this model. Love it!! None of the others hold the blade as well; the tool less blade change works beautifully; it cuts very smoothly, and it's built to last. I use it only occasionally, but wanted a tool that works when I need it. Bite the bullet and get the best.

Fantastic jigsaw, with the most precise control I have ever seen. With the saw moved to its flush position, you can saw right up to a perpendicular side without scoring the side. Plenty of power, easy blade changes, and the blade gripper keeps the sides of the cuts at 90 degrees. Somewhat pricey, but well worth it.

I also own a dewalt jig saw and it worked good until the tightner lever broke. This in my personal opinion is the best all around jig saw. The saw cuts fast and is easy to control.
