This saw has all the bells and whistles, but what it lacks is an effective blade clamp. Like many DeWalt tools it is more about looks and comfy hand grips, than performance. I traded mine, after a month, at the pawn shop for a used Bosch.

Brilliant jigsaw. I have cut everything with this 1000's of spindles for decking to cutting angle iron for jigs. Brilliant machine. It did get a knock and it knocked the base out of square. Brought it to the Dewalt service centre, brilliant service, as usual. I have this machine four years brilliant.

This jig saw works good cuts well but its only flaw i found with it is its lever to tighten the base. All it is is a rod wleded to a nut. Mine broke at the weld where the rod and nut met. If they could redesign it would be just as good as the bosch.
