I have owned Bosch, Makita, Porter Cable and Hilti jig saws. I think the Hilti is the best. The saw runs very smoothly, and has lots of power. It is bigger than the other jig saws I have used, but that doesn't bother me. It has a 12 foot cord which is a plus, I find I can see the blade without any problems. The speed control wheel is on the side and I have slowed the saw down accidently, occasionally, but that is just a minor nuisance. Personally the lack of vibrations and power just make it seem like a quality tool. I have had the saw for about two years, I am a professional finish carpenter and use the it a lot, and so far no switches, wheels or knobs have broken.
