Editor's Review: A Better Breed of Jigsaws
review date: September 1, 2006
The Hitachi CJ110MV cuts and handles well, and it has an LED headlight. However, the only positive detent in the base is at 90 degrees, with stops at 45 degrees in each direction, and when the saw was set to 45 degrees left, it wasn't possible to store the wrench. This is the only one of the 12 saws we tested that doesn't come with a case, and although Hitachi makes a no-mar base, it is sold separately. Despite selling for $60 less than the top-rated models we tested, it performed well and was our choice for best value.
