This deluxe saw has rubber-covered everything for comfort, as well as other thoughtful touches like a dual LED headlight to illuminate the cutline. This feature is really handy when cutting indoors, and it also provides valuable fill light outdoors when the blade is casting a shadow on your line. Despite the spindle lock blocking sightlines a bit, visibility on this saw is good. The magnesium baseplate on my saw was flat in both directions, and the saw was stable, despite a bit of flex in the baseplate.
