Editor's Review: 4-1/2-in. Angle Grinders

review date: March 1, 2005

This 4-1/2-in. angle grinder is an outstanding tool and was our choice for best overall. Although it was one of the lightest models we tested, it was more powerful than most. It has a two-position handle, and its operation is smooth and quiet. Its thumb latch guard system makes adjustments easy, and its soft-start feature reduces operator fatigue. It also has variable-speed control (2,800-10,500 rpm).
