This lightweight random-orbit sander was the best palm sander we tested. The top and waist grips are excellent, and the power and variable-speed controls are readily accessible. The dust canister was reasonably effective and could be rotated around the tool body, although its tight fit made emptying it a hassle. Vibration was the least among the tools tested. The pad accepts both five- and eight-hole disks, but dust collection was best with the five hole.
