Great video. I pause at the line "the code doesn't require exterior sheathing on this house...", though. I get it that thousands of (air leaky) houses and apartments were built with this method, but I'm not a fan. I'm open to how other readers might see this issue differently.
I suppose that you could install a WRB or house rap on a house without exterior sheeting over a rigid foam board (fixed directly to the studs) and then tape the seams,,, which is how I see a lot of production builders in my area comply with new energy efficiency codes. I think that as long as you can comply with the new EES the use of exterior structural sheeting is a engineering matter. It wouldn't be my choice but some builders a driven strictly by cost alone.
