There are a number of quick-fix gadgets on the market for eliminating the annoying squeaks that plague wood floors. But I don’t think any of them is quicker or easier than the method I use. As shown in the drawing, I get rid of squeaks by gluing the floorboards down with expanding-foam sealant.
Working from below the squeak, I drill a hole large enough in diameter to accommodate the application tube, and deep enough to go through the subfloor but not the floorboards above. Then I give it a little squirt of expanding foam and place a heavy object over the spot to keep it from bulging (I use a big truck battery).
This fix can also be applied to wood floors over concrete. Just locate the squeak, drill through the floorboard at a 30° angle until you hit concrete, and inject the foam. Once it sets up, trim the overflow flush. The squeak is history, and you’ll never see the telltale spot.

Can you recommend a product? Would Great Stuff Big Gap Filler Insulating Foam Sealant work for this application?
It would be nice to know this. It seems like you'd want to use an actual adhesive, something like DAP SmartBond Subfloor high strength polyurethane foam adhesive.
