Mosaic, the art of creating a large image by assembling a series of smaller colored tiles, is thought to date back to around 1500 B.C. A Phoenix, Ariz.-based company is keeping this art form alive in the modern home.
Beginning with cast-metal bowls—which are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes, with undermount, drop-in, and vessel installations all possible—Linkasink garnishes its line of vessel sinks with stunning mosaic tiles. Handmade by local artisans using Venetian glass, tumbled stone, and even stainless steel, the tiles are laid into each sink with a specially formulated grout that is guaranteed not to stain, chip, or mildew.
A variety of classic patterns and combinations are available, and Linkasink can even put together a custom creation to match the style of your kitchen or bathroom.
Available at select showrooms, a circular sink with a mosaic basin costs from $1450 to $2100, depending on size.
