Plumen bulbs take the twisting glass of a compact-fluorescent bulb and elevate it to a sculptural level. The swooping form of the 11w Plumen 001 is equivalent to a 50w or 60w incandescent bulb and boasts the same warm white light as older-style bulbs. There’s also a slightly smaller version of the same shape, called the Baby Plumen 001.
At roughly $30 each, the bulbs aren’t cheap compared to regular CFLs, but purchasing a 4- or 12-pack drops the price by $5 a bulb. Plumen also sells pendant lights designed to showcase the bulb. The pendants start at $30 and can rise to $45, depending on color and trim.
