This dynamic outdoor space is part of a modernist house on Blue Hill Bay in coastal Maine. Designed by A4 architects of Bar Harbor, the house is a glass and steel gem. The room combines a fireplace surround made of soapstone set in grey fiber-cement paneling and a ceiling of cypress wood. Outdoor cooking facilities are also built in.
