Has hanging and taping drywall changed in this new millenium? Watch the video, and decide for yourself.
Myron R. Ferguson has been our go-to-guy for all things drywall for a long time, as you’ll see in this video from the Fine Homebuilding Video Vault. But has hanging and taping drywall changed? Watch the video, and decide for yourself.
Besides the corded screw-gun and the all-manual lifting, I didn't notice any changes. Btw, what year was "then"? Surely it didn't predate modern flashing techniques for window & door ROs. ;-)
What century do you live in?
Use a head to hold it up😂
Really, I see nothing different here than was being done 30+ years ago in the trade. I was waiting to see something new and then the video ended. So I guess we saw everything we were being asked to see and rate against past times.
That looks like poly on the outside walls- been a while since we did that. And Ferguson is letting them use nails- last time he wrote about nails, he'd found some in his storeroom, thought about giving them to Habitat for Humanity, then said, "Why would I do that to them?" and threw them in the metal recycling bin.
