   I assume you checked the online index first. :)

   In any case, how sure are you that it was FHB? I don't claim to have an infallible memory, but I don't remember seeing that one.

   Could be what you are talking about is one of the brief note or what's new in the front of the magazine.

   There was a couple of paragraph note about a study mentioned that "foam insulation" on 2 x4 was about the same as 2x6. It might have been in JLC.

   But it was not an article.

   Can't remember all the times and places but over the last twenty years I have read numberous articles pointing out that 2x4 plus foam on inside is much better than the other.

   There have been threads here doing the same, good luck finding them.

   I think Mike Smith favors the 2x4 wall with foam on the inside..........but I may be hallucinating that & it's someone else. Probably right over there in the archives, just try that Search button I bet. Joe H

   Yep, Mike and I think a lot alike on construction - maybe because we live and work in the same part of the country - cold and wet New England.

   He's one of those flaming liberals though...

   Thanks for the replies. I'm using !"celotex on the outside over OSB. The (article?) was about 1/2 or 1 page long.
