I am trying to match the existing siding on my old house. It is a 4’x9′ panel, 5/8″ thick particle board siding product with variably spaced grooves….4″ then 8″ then 12″ pattern that repeats. This stuff must have been used a lot in the 60’s here in Northern Californa because I see lots of old houses in the neighborhoods with this same exact stuff. I want to match it on a repaired portion of the house….changing the size/location of some windows so I need to patch in the siding. I prefer not to put in something that looks different or I will have to reside the whole portion of the house.
Anyone know what this is called or if anyone still makes it? I can find 4″ or 8″ or 12″ grooved product easily, but not the repeating pattern one. My local lumber yard was not a help and actually suggested Home Depot….which was zero help.
Thanks,
-Richard
