I have done small drywall projects (less than 300 sq ft), so I thought tackling my new shop/garage would just take a little more time. At 1100 sq ft and 9.5 ft ceilings, I thought – no problem, it will just take some time.
After more than busting my **s for the last few weeks after work, I now have even more respect for my local drywall crews. After the third day, I could hardly hold my arms above my head. SWMBO said to call someone to help, my stubborn self said no. Damn, am I dumb.
I can officially say, unless there is a GREAT deal of money in it, or it is a small repair, all my drywall work now gets subbed out.
My hats off (if I could raise my arms) to you guys and gals that can make a ceiling as smooth as a baby’s butt and every seam clean and neat.
